FOR MASTERS STUDIES IN AGRICULTURE / AGRONOMY FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/2024

The French Embassy to Kenya and Somalia is offering a scholarship opportunity to finance a Masters program in Agriculture/Agronomy studies in a French university for the academic year 2023/2024. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply to prospective courses within the stated field of study. The programs could be either taught 100% in English or in French. To find a suitable program for either language of instruction mentioned above, visit the 'Study in France' section of our website under 'Find Your Program' and conduct a search from our program catalogues:

1) Programs taught in English (bachelors,masters e.t.c) are listed on the catalogue of English programs. We suggest using the filter search to tailor the search results to your preference. The programs will appear and have a url link to the specific program described, a detailed description of the program and a url link to the general university website. You may reach out to the prospective university via email (to be found on the contact section of the website) incase of any inquiries. Remember to also check the "international" / "admissions" sections of the website for important information.

2) For Masters programs exclusivelycheck the masters catalogue (most programs in French) where you can tailor your search according to keywords, field of study or geographic region. The programs will appear and have a url link to the program itself or to the general university website. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

* Have Kenyan nationality 

* Hold a Bachelor's Degree

* Have applied to a French university for a Master degree in agricultural studies for the next academic year (2023/2024)

* If applying to a Master in French, they should have a B2 French level of  certification(acknowledged by DELF)

Application – Etudes en France platform

This platform is NECESSARY for all students making applications to French universities for Bachelors, Masters, PhD, language schools etc and manages all of the enrollment procedures for higher education institutions up until the visa request stage of application.

It  has 309 French universities and schools connected to itYou will be required to create an account on the platform in order to start the application process.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

  1. Applicant's cover letter
  2. Applicant's motivation letter 
  3. Copy of Bachelor's degree 
  4. Undergraduate transcripts (If applicable, academic transcripts of first year of a relevant Master's program)
  5. Copy of the most recent and advanced diploma in French (if any)
  6. Proof of application to a French university (EEF number) or authorization of registration issued by a French university
  7. Recommendation letter from the applicant's scientific head (not mandatory but strongly recommended)
  8. Copy of applicant's passport

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS:

The scholarship covers one academic Year (10 months) and caters for:

Transportation, visa fees, a monthly allowance, registration fees in the university (this applies to public universities under the French Ministry of Higher Education), access to affordable student housing, social and cultural services throughout the training period.
