DEADLINE REMINDER: The application process using the DAP document
The deadline for Bachelor applications to public universities in France is fast approaching and with this said, it is important that students are well reminded of what is required of them when it comes to handing in the documents required for them to be selected by any university.
The application process for higher education in France varies for different people. This depends on your nationality as well as your level of education.
In Kenya, students who wish to apply for their first-year undergraduate studies in a French public university MUST use the DAP (Demande d’Admission Préalable) system. This does not mean that the form is only exceptional to Kenyans, it can also be filled by foreigners living in Kenya, with student VISAS that are valid up to at least 6 months, who wish to study in France (rules might, however, be different.)
What is DAP? This is a document that is a preliminary request for admission for a first year to a Bachelors programme in public universities. It is a MANDATORY procedure for all non-European countries.
To download the application form, you can click here or you can come personally to our Campus France offices at the Alliance Française, 1st floor, and collect the form.
Deadline for this application is the 17th of January 2020. Once you have filled out the form correctly and handed in all the necessary documents that go with it, you are to drop it off at The Campus France offices.
Please note that in Kenya, the minimum requirements to get into a university are as follows:
Mean grade of a C+ in KCSE, IGSCE – A-Level, IB 55 to 60%
DELF B2 (French Certificate)
